I got this one from Griots Garage (I think) and mounted it to the floor mat on the drivers side. Falls right to hand when needed and is out of the way and not really noticeable when not.

The seat and sill keep the cup upright too.

I don't see it in the Griots catalog now but this looks to be the same item:

That one on the Gowesty site looks like the VW Passat version I have in my 928, and that's a great price too. Folds small and looks trim when folded. It slips onto the console side covers from the bottom, can be secured with a couple screws through that side cover if needed. Mine sits nicely without screws so long as I stay south of Big Gulp-sized cups. So far, I haven't seen any other aftermarket pieces that work as well for me.

Looks like the Gowesty, for me. Sent an email to the 928 club, but no reply.

Thanks for all the advice!

This works Great for me...I do have the taller armrest adapter which helps it blend, and I had it custom painted.

Nah, he's crying cause after over 5500 posts, you're to cheap to buy a membership. If ya believe in such things. Regardless you're still a cheap ***.

I went with the doublewide folder, requires screws through the carpet but easily hidden when the folder is removed.

I got this one:

then I swapped out for the gimble mounted cup holder and I have the perfect, damn near spill-proof cup holder.

jeff ,
the link makes it look like it is made to fit a handle bar, did you just adapt for flush mount?

That's a $120 cup holder. ONE cup.

Although it is slick...

I went with the Fischer foldable cup holders. I bought 2 for $25 off eBay. I only used one mounted on the passenger side and gave the other to a friend. Easy to install, works great and looks factory. Here's a pic of what it looks like when folded up.
