Congrats on the ZYC Car! I guess Dan finally decided to sell her..

For more owners in the Atlanta Area, talk to Jack Swint. He's a technicain at Hennessy Porsche. He owns a 928, did the PPI on my GTS when I bought it from a guy in the Atlanta area.

Hi Chuck, thanks I appreciate that. I have a leak from the fuel tank and it needs to be replaced. Dan is sourcing it for me and I'll need to find a good tech/mechanic to replace it. I have been able to take it out a few times and El Guapo runs fantastic. Revs up beautifully. Have to get the gas tank done, then register the car, fix a small dent, do some interior mods and then drive it.

Take care,
Alan

Mine is on the lift with the front bumper cover off for repair. Some idiot in a Ford pickup backed into me at 'Cue and of course left, leaving a split in the center of the cover.
Should have it fixed this week. Alan, when you get the tank, you can come over and we can replace the tank at my house. Having a lift makes it really easy compared to crawling under the car.
Send me a PM when you are ready. I will be out all day Wed all day, otherwise free.

I have a fuel tank from a low mileage 87 S4 here in Roswell. We can probably help with the swap.

Hey 86_5Tiburon,
Stand by just in case. The previous owner Dan is sourcing a new one for me since this is a used tank installed that still leaks. I'll keep you posted and thanks again.

Alan,
Here's a good shot of Cowboy in the Zyc Car at 3rd Coast a couple years ago...

Hope he threw in the hood and the horns for you as well!

Gents,
I would really like to get together with all as soon as I get the car put together. I still have to replace the gas tank, register the car and complete the sound deadening. Almost there. A local get together would be great, even if it meant meeting at someone's house (we could do my house) for a clean and shine, beer, wine and food.

I look forward to meeting all of you.

Thanks,
Alan

Hey Alan,

I was wondering why I hadn't seen you driving around the Dacula area! Mine is still at the body shop, but maybe next week it will be back, and I can start to put things back together.

Hi Michael,
Waiting on a gas tank from Germany. Also did a tear down of the doors, posted a thread on it "El Guapo Zyc car gets the silent treatment". Waiting on a dentless repair guy to fix an issue with the passenger mirror and doing some interior work.

Otherwise I would be driving it. Hope everything is coming out well with your car. I'll be away next week, but returning the following. Let's talk then.

Alan
