Hmmm...that'd be cool.

Bilsteins and LSD will make this a decent car to drive! (I'm a bit spoiled after my black '86.5.)

Probably need to get some discs for this LSD - the auto it is in has some miles.

Set the disks up per Greg's recommendations. Works like a champ!

I can't believe I forgot to mention this long, nagging problem I need to address.
Track 4 (ground track) on my HVAC controller board has a bad diode. It is giving me the odd problem of having no compressor clutch engagement when the lights are turned on. I am going to roll up my sleeves and tackle it. Frankly, I chickened out when I diagnosed it. I think Alan told me on my thread regarding the diagnosing of the issue what diode would be needed. I'll have to look back otherwise another post.

Waiting for the gold bodied Bilstiens to come back from getting rebuilt by Bilstien. Plucked 'em off of a parts car for $88. Also ordered the temp time switch for my cold start issues; and a ignition switch to help with my psycho dashboard during start ups. Catching up on my 81's 30+ year old consumed consumable parts is fun.

I'd like to finish all the things I have to do and start doing the things I want to do, like reviving the dead paint.

My list is so long that I wouldn't know where to start. However, in a process of a revival of my '89 S4/5-spee0d. Note, did not say restoration, as it was a pretty nice car to begin with that would have passed muster with 90% of owners, but having owned it once before 16 years ago, I remember how it was.

So, last night I reunited the transaxle/torque tube assembly and then reunited it with the car. Solo, I might add with the help of the excellent Harbor Freight transmission jack. Then replaced the rear sway bar, and will work towards full reassembly of the rear suspension. Then, off to the engine compartment with a TB/WP replacement, new injectors, refinish cam covers, pull oil pan and reseal, new power steering reservoir and lines, new hoses and ignition parts. I could go on, but when it's done it will be amazing.

A complete interior refresh is next on my list. Was about to pull the trigger then ended up dealing with a house move. Postponed for now... Oh and something went crack in my sunroof, and now it won't open all the way. Still hoping to get these sorted this year though.

Then I think it will be about time for the timing belt to be changed out.

Replaced a U.S sealed beam with a Euro headlight (I broke the Euro 8 inch that was on it in a accident. )There is a Euro 8 inch on the other side. Picked it up on craigslist today for $45 and looks brand new.

Well, not today but definitely the first three things on my "to do list":

Clean the grounds (at least those I can find and get to...)
Clean CE panel
Remove dash, clean all contacts and replace some burned lamps

One of these days....

Regards

"Remove dash, clean all contacts and replace some burned lamps"

Might as well replace the vacuum actuators while you're in there
