So what is next thing that you want to or have to do on your 928 today...

Just ordered Greg's oil filler baffle, will put it in when the rest of the intake goes back on this weekend. Hopefully that will reduce the amount of oil that ends up in the side plenums (after just 300 miles they went from bone dry to soaked.)

Getting all the bits and pieces to do the tedious task of changing all the seals for the AC system, new dryer, evacuating and recharging system

Did a 150 mile round trip with my son today to the beach and visit my parents. Done in a utility vehicle. Couldn't stop thinking how the 928 really was the right vehicle for the job. So what's the 'next thing' - get a roadworthy certificate and get it registered! (Should be fine for next spring/September) but think I've missed the boat on this one...

I'm about to get an old iPad all greasy, loaded up with Dwayne's write-up for the intake refresh. I've already collected the plumbing fixtures for the pressure testing he describes. I'll just raise the hood and get going on it. Today. For sure.

Good news, I actually started on the intake refresh today. First step per Dwayne is to check the operation of the flappy valve. Result: good vacuum, but no flapping. I'm looking for missing horses; found a few right off the bat.

Well driver's door handle barely able to open from the outside. You know the goodness I have ahead of me. Will call Roger tomorrow for the hardware.

A resurrected thread, in which you predict what you are going to do! I see that I promised an intake refresh last New Year's Day. I actually did it.
I prefer doing work during the winter and driving during the summer, but today I will try to fix an embarrassing raspy noise by replacing the first section of the exhaust. This is prior to visiting Adam this weekend in Ontario, from whom I procured the "new" part last spring.

Fix the rear bumper, last nut is top one riht side. With fuel tank and hoses all fresly installed. A job in the blind, totally out of reach for human extensions like fingers.
After that, move all activities to the front of the car.

Instrument cluster is out. Going to do new bulbs with LED's for the bottom 3. Install rebuilt/repaired vacuum diaphragms in the dash.
Then after return from travel, Install rebuilt ECU, replace top oil line, oil pressure sender, passenger side window motor. Then try to find my AC leak.

Burning Brakes
1. Detail the outside
2. Clean and treat the leather
3. Clean the carpets/mats
4. Have Bodysmooth come over to remove a couple of minor flaws
5. Take to Precision for timing belt, hoses, plugs, fuel lines (?), and whetever else it might need.
6. Install new tires
