Likely Eibach/Koni or Eibach/Bilstien as a start. I can't get too radical, as I need to drive it daily as well.
I had Eibach/Koni's on my '88 and that was an excellent combination.

Dont know if you covered this yet or not so I'll aslk... How do you like the new v4.0 chipset? You had the latest v3.6 version so not sure if you noticed a LOT of improvement...

RE the chipset: not really sure. Did not have a ton of experience with the earlier version. Regardling the No Lift Shift, I did not test that either. I had enough to do to get my shifts right the old fashioned way, as all my previous track time was in an auto.

If Ken lets me take it out once I'm home I'll let ya know if its much improved. I would guess its probably similar to when I swapped the set Stan had in the car for the set Ken took out. Though, I added the TQ rings as well. It was noticeable, but not earth shattering.

Jon, Yeah... the v4.0 upgrade was more fine tuning in a couple of places Porken couldnt tweak before. Not a lot to notice in the seat of the pants. I upgraded mine step by step as Porken made improvements to each chipset so it was pretty gradual. If someone upgrades from stock chips to the v4.0 it is a dramatic improvement

Clutch Ball Cup replaced. This made a huge difference in the clutch action. Got rid of of shudder in reverse.

Hi Ken
What camera and software are you using to get the heads up display on screen?

In car, I have an Android phone, so I am using aLap by aDyno. If you have an iPhone, try Harry's Lap Timer

That will give you "in-car" data aquisition, video recording and lap timing.

With Harry's, you can output with the data overlay directly on the video for posting to Youtube, etc..

With aLap ( and any Android based app I have seen), you cannot output the data overlay directly on the video ( but you can view it as such on the device). You have to export the data and video seperately and render them back together with another application. I use Race Render for that. It's a little bit time consuming, but a good way to fill the time between track session. Race Render will also let you add picture-in-picture if you have another camera, like a GoPro.

BTW, I have also been experimenting with this:
Trackmaster

The user interface is a little clunkier than aLap, but it has some interesting features.

Tackled the odometer. Jon had indicated he had replaced the usual gear a while back, but the odometer had quit again some time later. So, I was not suprised to to see the gear was still in good shape, but this left the root cause undetermined.

I went ahead and replaced the gear, since I had one anyhow ( Thanks Rog!), blew out all the nooks with compressed air and cleaned all the electrical contacts.

I haven't seen any practical way to test the spedo/odometer while it is out of the car without some type of 12v pulse generator, so I buttoned up the system and drive it. ( better ideas welcome!!! )

It's back in and working. For now.

Now the gas gauge has failed. It worked perfectly before I took the cluster apart. I didn't do anything to that guage while open, at least not intentionally. Grrrrr.
