Before I got waylaid, my plan was to come back over and take pictures of most of the items, do a little more research on a few of them (like the complete new piston and rod set) to pin down exactly what they are and try to determine some fair prices with you and get a list posted here and/or on eBay or locally and try to make it as easy as possible to sell the items.

So, if that would still be of help, I can come by later this week or next at your convenience and get this together.

The market will steadily improve over the next few months as people start to get their tax returns and warmer weather returns. March, April, and May are great months to be selling a car. Good luck with the sale.

Default Thanks for keeping this thread going...haven't found a buyer yet

Just wanted to pop my head in here and thank you guys again for all the interest in helping me get Andre's car sold.

So far, there have been some inquiries, but the car is still for sale. Thanks, too, to the list administrator, for keeping the "sticky" on this. I appreciate it.

Spring is coming. Surely someone needs a new/old car :-)

I was very close to this car a few weeks back picking up another 928. In the back of my mind I knew I would likely drive this car home if the other one did not pan out. I was already committed to the other seller but it was nice to think I had another good choice if I needed it. This car will find a good home soon.

Hi.

Can anyone please tell me a little bit more specific about what has been done to this car except the new gearbox?

Service work, cam belt, condition of other parts, clutch, tires, mileage, etcetc.

And what engine does it have, the 240hp or 300hp?

Are there any more pics of it?

Could be interested, thanks.

Rgds

Ok, so there are other threads, but i would not know what to search for. I don't know user names and "1981 928" or "daddys toy car" is not much help.

Could you point me in a direction searchwise?

Edit: Found the correct user name. Thanks.

I'm not a regular user on this forum. I'm Andre's widow, but I'm guessing that if you search Andre Hedrick, you should find threads about the work he's done. Or, as someone already said, PM Bill Ball, or "Vanster" or "Hooked On Cars" for more direction on how to find the answers.

You are also welcome to make an appointment to come by the house, if you're in the area, and take a look.

Default Found Andre's "brag sheet" on the 1981 928 from Sharks in the Park

In the process of taking more interior photos for Paal (I'll post those in a minute, as soon as I figure out where my kids have put my data cable for the phone...ugh),

I FOUND ANDRE'S OWN "SPECS" on the car ! (please excuse the caps... I'm delighted to have some actual data from the "horse's mouth" to share...)

Here's what he wrote:

Year: 1981
Model: 928
Miles: 205,616
Modifications: 88s4 Brakes, G28/13 LSD 57% , Aero Mirrors, GTS Wing, Lower Strut Box, Devek (can't read the handwriting) ?Strut Bar, Short Shifter, D90's,
H4 7" , Parker Tensioner, Skid Plates, Rear 3-Point Seat Belts, Keyless Central Locks

I'll post a few more interior shots in a few minutes, including a shot of this data sheet, in case that's helpful

Spring's coming, guys... This car is fun to drive on a nice day with the top open.

Not much. Paal, in Norway, is still asking questions about technical stuff, so I've given him the info. from the "brag sheet" that I posted here, and I've heard nothing else from anyone. Still hoping. Thanks for bumping the thread a bit. I really do need to sell it.

Keep your ears open, folks, if you hear of someone longing for a vintage 928.
It's wonderful driving weather out here in Northern CA.
