Default Sebring Shark Shiver

Shamelessly stolen from Mel and PCA Gold Coast...

Hello Florida Sharkers!!

I hope everyone had a Happy Holidays & a fun safe New Years!

Wanted to remind everyone that a renewed Sebring Shark Shiver is happening
in three weeks on Sat. Feb. 2nd. As in the past, it will be in
coordination with the PCA 48 Hours of Sebring race. Francois Greyling is
attending the races & will be coordinating this year's Shark Shiver. I
know there are several who mentioned in recent months of their plans to be
at the races & would like to see some fellow 928ers while they are there.
Plans are to park on the left side just over the bridge, as we've done in
the past. You'll have to sign the PCA waiver & get your wrist band prior
to entering the infield. For those who know they plan to attend, or are
still considering it, please hit "Reply All" to let everyone know & to help
generate some interest.

If you need to contact Francois, his email is: franco1s_at_comcast_dot_net.
Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions are always
welcomed. The two PCA regions which put the 48 Hour race on each year are
in need of volunteers. I know that Arlene & Laurie have been regular PCA
volunteers at both the Sebring & Daytona PCA races & can attest to the fun
that can be. I believe Arlene has said that they will be there again this
year.

I know they are also planning on a Zone 12 Autocross this year, cost is
$35. For those that did the Autocross in 2009, you know how much fun that
can be, especially when there are a group of Sharks participating.

The link to the official 48 Hours of Sebring web site is:
http://www.48hoursatsebring.com/Home.aspx There you will find info about
the PCA race, including signing up to volunteer & the Autocross.

I've let the PCA officials know that we plan to have 928ers gather again,
they are always so accommodating to us. So lets have a good showing of
Sharks as we've done in the past! We still are the ONLY 928 group in the
nation that I'm aware of that has EVER been mentioned in the PCA Panorama
magazine for a gathering of 928s, & we were mentioned twice & had a photo
included. That kind of recognition only happens when people participate.

Francois also mentioned an upcoming PCA Gold Coast Region Key Largo Brunch
& Drive on Jan. 19th, which will involve a drive to Key Largo

Copying the PCA email: Exciting and fun drive to Key Largo. The drive will
begin from two separate meeting points in Broward (Tower Shops in Davie)
and Miami (Florida Turnpike Snapper Creek Plaza) with ending at the Big
Chill Restaurant mile marker 104 at 10am. There will be designated parking
for our group, so please RSVP.
Be sure to RSVP and submit payment on www.clubregistration.net , the brunch
is $25.00 which includes taxes and gratuity. Day of the event the fee will
increase to $30 per person. Departure times will be mailed out after
payment confirmation.
FINAL DAY TO REGISTER IS WEDNESDAY - JANUARY 16TH, 2013
If you have any questions, be sure to email Beena at
browardsocial_at_gmail_dot_com.

Lets have another good showing for the Sebring Shark Shiver,
Keep your Shark Straight!

Good Job Jim! Now you have to go to the Shiver to help ensure we have a good turnout!

Default Sebring Shark Shiver (A 928 Gathering)

John,

Having you, Mark A., and David L. at one of the early "Sebring Shark Shivers," in addition to Constantine's and John A.'s cars on the same track made it a great time for all of the 928 owners who came out to share in the fun.

For all practical purposes, there was a ready-made support crew enjoying the fun while assisting (and rooting for) a field of 928 race cars & drivers. A great experience!

Hope that inspires more 928 owners to join us for the upcoming gathering at Sebring.

A few more photos from that Sebring Shark Shiver weekend.

John V., Mark A., Constantine, David L., and John A. carried the 928 banner really well that day, with many fellow shark owners supporting them.

Hope we have a significant number of 928 owners come out on Feb. 2 & 3 this year to have some fun and catch a little racing action while you are there.

Track Touring is available to anyone each day during the lunch break, giving you a chance to drive your 928 on this historic track.

See the link below for the race schedule.
