Default car won't start again!

Merry X'mas all
Early this year my 84 has no crank unless i repeatedly insert the key in and out a few times to finally catch and start, until one day it just nothing, so had it towed and my mechanic told me to order the ignition switch the electrical piece, after the install, it started fine except sometime still has the same symptoms til today, nothing again so do i need to replace the tumbler? or are there something else?
Thanks

Check & clean your battery connections and body ground point. Check the ground strap. Also, check & clean the connection at the hot post under the hood. Rule out those possibilities before assuming it is the ignition switch again. You did get an OE switch, correct?

By saying "no start"...Is the motor turning over? Or is there just silence??

I understood nothing to mean no dash lights, starter engagement, etc.

So the starter isn't engaging, or is it just not starting and running?

When the key turns, dash lights come on, keep on turning the key to the end....no sound, no crank, no starter

If the horns work, swap relay X with relay XIV at the CE panel at the passenger side footwell. If still no start, you'll need a helper to confirm that power is being actually being passed to the starter by going under the car and verifying it with a test light.

I will need to check the wiring to be sure. But it is likely just a relay or a loose connection.

If this problem continues I can make it over there and take a look at it for you.
