Correct fuel hose sizes for connection to tank, etc ??
Separate query from the current active thread on fuel lines/barbs/ crimping/fires/etc ...
Within the last 2 years, I've replaced the injector/regulator/damper hoses on my '80 16V L-jet with the correct Conti N0202811 hose ... 7.5mm id .... tight & dry by reusing original 'cups' - looks factory
Thinking of dropping the fuel tank to R&R the remainder of rubber fuel hoses connected to hard lines.
Question: what is the correct hose size, or sizes to complete this job? Is it the same 7.5mm Conti hose noted above .... or is the id size different? There are references to using 30R-9 hoses ( Gates, Goodyear, ..), but there are listed as SAE sizes .... and our lines are surely metric.
I would appreciate some input from anyone who has done this .... prior to lowering the tank. TIA
BTW, the 32 year old supply/return hoses on the right valve cover remain crack free & pliable ....I would attack those too were they twins of Jim B's hoses in his avatar - and motivator of the thread referenced.
