Under the brace that the throttle cable/wheel are attached to. Or just to the front of the car attached to it.

The engine harness comes from the right side of the fire wall, loops around the back of the engine, then splits into two parts, one for the right side of the engine (injectors, hall sender and Temp II) and one for the left side of the engine (MAF, CPS, ISV, TPS, injectors, Temp I and Flappy actuator). Bothe the right and left side looms are held into place by clamps on the right and left side bolts of the throttle wheel plate. The CPS connector can be found under the rear of the intake on the left side, after the clamp. On the left side of and under the MAF.

Hi Aryan, love the photos of your top end rebuild! I think I see where it is now....i intend to do the same thing as you, but not until this winter...but I am afraid that i need to replace the cps sensor sooner..

Thanks Merlin, i have done that, but the wire disappeared under the intake... i will dig deeper

CPS connector is labelled 'F' in this pic of the LH harness:

Here's a pic of Dave Chamberlain's, showing the two engine grounds of the LH harness. You can see the CPS connector captured in the middle of the pic by its mount on the throttle wheel mounting bracket.

Thanks Rob, how do you get your hands on that connector, without removing the intake?

Have the intake off. Remove the bracket for the throttle wheel - service the grounds while there too. Here's what I did to get the CPS out. I found it easy. Took ten minutes. You MUST have everything off, otherwise it will be a fight to remove.

Airman, I followed Dwayne's Intake Refresh to do a full intake job and decided to remove the CPS because of the terminal and wires deterioration showed on this thread.
Once you reach it, apply some WD40 or other lubricants and remove it carefully. If it does not work, you can see what I did or others are recommending about cutting the plastic part to expose more of the bolt itself and remove using a vice grip or similar

Looking at the connector from the front and the single notch in the middle is up and two notches on both sides are down, from left to right the wire colors are:

Knock sensors and impulse sender: black, red, white.

Hall sensor: black, white, red.

Black was what John calls a screen.
So, since I am replacing the male hall sensor connector I believe looking at the male connector in the same orientation (single up and double down) the wiring is the opposite. Given that as you look at the male connector the order of the wires is left to right is Red, Green, Black.
