Soupcan:

Have you been through a summer with your new set-up?

I assume you replaced your factory pusher with an aftermarket, if so what brand did you use?

I had one radiator ruined by a local shop picked up another one, this cooling issue is only in traffic with the air on. I am willing to try a radiator rebuild if I can trust the shop. I spoke to 3-local shops and they will not work on it.
If you recommend them can you share your radiator shops name?

So your radiator rebuild made that much of a difference! The one I have now needs a new end tank, PO used Rtv on the end tank to seal it and it leaks. I assume it was cleaned when repaired. I ran it for 8-months and it keeping the car cool all that time.
I am tempted to buy a new one but have other uses for my money, if I cannot cool this car down I can't drive it all summer! I think it's an air flow issue I need to figure out the best way to improve it, so any information helps.

No problems last year with temps in the summer after adding the pusher fan, I did the radiator in November and so far even in traffic the temps gauge hasn't hit the first line.

Henderson Radiator in Labelle, the old man Razz retired this year and I wouldn't trust his son, all he does is try to sell replacements.

I called Powers Radiator and they said the could do it but that was over a year ago, here is their website.

This is a mock up with my wife's kitchen pizza and pie plates "do not tell her".

I am thinking about turning the airbox sideways and adding a 10' and 12' fans as shown.
I could reduce the airbox dimensions as shown on the cardboard cut out. Does anyone see any downside to this or would the gain in air flow with the 12/10 Fan set-up can leave the airbox as is.

Here is a couple pics of the stock Vortech intake. I have no idea where you could buy one now. It is a 90 deg intake that has been cut off , but the low profile just fits in between the rad.

Thanks for the link Fabio!

Cross referenced the part numbers on the page and found it, it is this one with the 90 cut off. $66.99 At Jegs.

Mine is hooked to a 3.5" flexible duct and filter.

Cosmo, That doesn't look like the same shape to me. Do you have a better pic of the one on your car?

It's the same one, the pic shows where it is cut. I will try and get some better pics in car. I got mine already cut and I added an 3.5" metal insert so I could attach the flexible duct. Took a but of messing around to get it to fit right and it is pretty tight to the rad, but being plastic it isn't as dangerous as a metal piece if it rubs.

As for the overheating, I believe having good high cfm puller fan (s) tight to the rad are the key. My current puller fan sucks and I believe once I get a good one in there my issues will go away. This is the one I want to sneak in there, 14" puller 2785 cfm!

I have a murph with 4 pullers and a pusher and still run hot. Thought about trying one of these, but not sure if it would fit:

Might be worth a try... less blockage and better thermal properties.

The V-3 is a 3.5in inlet, I think.
