Great find, have you check the gear shift, once i had to put it in neutral for it to start or push up in park pretty hard, or just check the neutral safety switch on the trans.

I did try it in neutral. One of the first things I tried. I had issues with a similar switch in another car before. I have not checked the switch at the trans however.

Going slow! Planning for a vacation to Vegas at end of March and looking to acquire some beer brewing equipment then I will be saving to get the rest of the parts for my timing belt job. Once the weather warms I am hoping to have time to get out there and go over the electrical since that is relatively cheap to run through. Going to try and find either a good used 14-pin harness or look into getting some new wire and firing up my soldering gun. Oh and I need a new green wire. It is the never ending list! That also reminds me I need to take my battery out and put it on the charger!

Thanks for checking up on me! You still doing DE courses?

Well my BBS rims have found a new home now. Thanks to the poster above. The money from those will be put towards a water pump for the car. Sold them 2 years after posting about them when I had all but forgotten they were taking up room in my garage. Thank you kind sir!

Haven't done an AX since the foot thing. Can't heel and toe any more. It's like they cut that part of my foot off.

I've got some Devek headers to put on and these wheels are in the works though...

Oh man that really sucks. Think you will be able to get back into it over time?

Those wheels will look great on the car.

Brad,
As a possible for your no crank issue: I had a similar issue on my '89 and something my starter/alt rebuilder said to me innocuously came back to me to help me solve the issue. Basically, what was happening was that the shaft of the starter wasn't retracting all the way in so as to allow the solenoid to engage due to gunk on the shaft. with the car up in the air, I sprayed brake cleaner on the shaft to clean it which allowed it retract fully. I then engaged the key, and had a buddy spray the shaft with lubricant. It hasn't failed to crank in the 7 months since I lubed it.

This may not be your problem, but then again............

It will turn over when you jump the wires at the 14-pin connector so I know the starter is good. I think it may be a ground issue and with the weather warming up now I can finally get out there to clean them. That is the only thing I can think of that I touched because it was turning over with the key before I took anything apart to start working on it.

This is good advice as your car was cruddy and sat a long time. Grounds, grounds, grounds, too.

Brad the motor detailing looks fantastic. Hope you get her to fire.

Sorry. If you posted that before, I didn't see it. I thought the starter was acting as if dead. With this extra information, it sure sounds like a ground issue.

The weather is looking nice this week and I think a few hours with some wires brushes, a good brew, and my 928 are in order.
