Welcome to Rennlist.
Just to clarify, you pour gas in to the intake and jump the coil with battery power and it runs?

you may have to do that...lol she hates it! it has the "s" options with 17 inch chrome "S" wheels with new tread, but the og cookiecutters on now,and all spoilers and trim are off and resprayed. the 17's are a seperate sale, just got those! could let her go to good home if $ is right.

Maybe an old alarm system?
Listen for the fuel pump running when cranking the car.
Check the ballast resistors and voltage at the coil.
Listen to the injectors while cranking for clicks, test voltage with a noid light.
Have somebody that knows a 928 well look it over.

Green wire....
Is the signal wire from the ecm.... It's usually not green (bc of age, corrosion, and grease), it leads from the bottom of the distributor to a 2 prong plug somewhere on the passenger side timing cover... don't tug on it either, you will break it... very brittle.
