Looking good Tony!

Did you have time to test it out?

Maineporsche did a write-up on this install utilizing the stock wiring, which would probably apply better to MJRocket's setup: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...e-cooling.html

Tony has a custom setup and is wired differently (his car).

Cheers!

As most probably know this interior came out of a stored, low mileage 79 and it's finally met it's match-time. Searched hi & low for black & brown pascha material and of the four color combo's, it's the one that's NLA. Contacted Rob Budd & shipped out the front seats today for a similar color combo: black & tan with black vinyl side bolsters, backs, etc.. Plan was to drive out to the upcoming Frenzie, but Rob Budd's a bit backed up (that's a good thing) and I should have planned a little further ahead for this. Will be in CT visiting folks early next week and hitched a ride with Bob (voskian) in his beautiful GT for Frenzie next Thur so it's all good. Looking forward to meeting up with all at Frenzie next weekend. T

Added a 6 place fuse block in the spare tire well to clean up things out back. A crude but effective version of Carl's (FLYVMO) modern electrical system being installed in his modern day GT. T

WYAI put a circuit ID label on the cover over each fuse,
this will make troubleshooting easier

WIT, cleaned up the battery box and coated bottom with a rubberized sealant. Something was etching into the window tint. Took drivers door apart and discovered the felt window stop as being the culprit. Ordered a new one from Roger. T

Hey Tony,

That felt guide looks like it is not factory. Is that a home made version? Who put that in there? :evil grin:

Cheers!

I put it in Carl.
It's original to the car , the factory replacement parts had felt that was too thick to fit into place without massive drag on the windows.
I used some 1/16" industrial felt (eBay 2$) to repair mine. Way cheaper than factory parts that don't fit well.

I noticed when I put the new factory replacement guides in, they needed to be compressed and reshaped somewhat. Otherwise, as you say, they put too much friction on the window, even at the most retracted (loose) position.

Cheers!

+1. For comparison, my original on the left and new on the right. The new one put way too much stress on the window. Car looks great, Tony!
