FYI, the RX7 frames & carpet inserts do come in different colors. You can duplicolor the frames and insert a piece of carpet to match your interior if having a hard time finding the correct color. I did a similar rear seat delete in the GTS a few years back. On this one, I wanted the top of the cabinet to be on the same as the cargo cover. On JP, wanted the top of the cabinets to be the same level as the hatch floor. T

Right on!

Think I'll likely go the route of having the top of the cab to be level with hatch floor.

Thanks Tony.

Mj, Sounds great. Finished up the rear cabinet build this morning and need to fit up the 2 way component speakers in the doors. Went to a local LS tuner this afternoon for a fan reprogram. Tuner recommended getting the intake temps down a bit and that should be no problem getting to 550hp at the crank. Removed the condenser fan (less weight-you out there Matt !)to leave room for the upcoming cool air intake. Tuner also smoothed out the idle and bumped up the fuel ratio approx 10% up from the factory tune. No more stumbling or stalling coming back down to idle. Stay tuned. T

Mj, You could handle this mod. Today was a humbling experience. There were at least 7-8 daily driver (mostly Vette's) at the tuners today pumping out between 700-1100 rwhp. Damn. T

Installed some Cascade audio dampening pads on the hatch floor followed by 1/4" closed cell foam. Also applied a few patches on the inner door skins before applying the moisture/dust barrier. Trying to lighten up JP a bit and quiet her down at the same time. Cleaned up and deoxit the contacts on the window motors. Also cleaned and rubbed on some new grease on the window guides. Component door speakers up next. T

Detected a gas smell coming from the rear of the car. New gasket on the fuel sending unit took car of it. WIT cleaned & applied deoxit to the contacts. Carl (FLYVMO) & I split the cost of a set of scales for our cars so next up is corner balancing. Baseline weight below with 1/4 tank of gas, no occupants and door cards not installed. T

Hey Andy, Condenser fan, rear bumperettes, spare tire, etc, etc have been deleted to help get the weight down. Added some closed cell foam to all the support straps under the fuel tank. Picked up Carl aka FLYVMO this morning from Corpus Christi airport. He has been talking about coming out this way for a bit and here he is. T

JP now at proper ride height so we checked corner balance again and she is now within spec. Scale readout is with me in there (approx 210lbs)and 1/2 tank of gas. Herman K brought over his tools and helped with alignment of all four. Removed pod for the LED treatment and to try & get the ODO & trip ODO fixed. Took her out for a spin and handles great. Carl (FLYVMO) helped out big time and took some videos that will be posted up soon. T

Finished up installing components speakers in the doors. PO cut out of one of the door cards, so carefully cut the pass door and installed the tweeters. Reinforced these areas with a little fiber glass and tweeters are now hidden. Add in the amp and 10" sub out back and this system sounds tremendous. T

Looking great Tony, and the sound is awesome too!

Thank you for the hospitality, great time and especially for your wife's patience while we were doing the "car stuff". Also it was a pleasure driving Just Beachy and Just Peachy! JP is a rocket and JB is a really comfortable cruiser.

For everyone who has followed this build, let me say that Just Peachy is a rocket! With a 51%/49% weight distribution (with driver), the car just hunkers down and the rear tires bite the asphalt as it launches. Very little spin as the car accelerates...and keeps accelerating. This is a low-4 second car to 60 Mph. Very impressive.

It was a blast, let's do it again!

Cheers!
Carl
