Thanks. I'll know if I have the problem solved soon - I need to add a diode across the 2 wires going to the IAC. This is something added to the MS schematics since I made the harness a few years ago, so hopefully this fixes it.

With some help from Ducman, got it fixed. After checking all my wires again, and not finding anything wrong, reasoned the MS3 is the last place to look. The instructions for the diode on the 2 wire IAC setup say it is an alternative to the internal jumper from S12 to C end of D1, so clipped the jumper wire, sealed the ends, and closed it all back up. Left the diode in place, and it works. No more Speedo and WBO2 running after the key is off and pulled out. Now I can get the startup tuning worked out better because the IAC will be in the loop and controlled.

The 928 starts up pretty rich right now, even in the colder temps (0-4C), so must do some more work on the cold-start enrichment settings. Have not got it out for a drive since last fall, and even then it was just a 10min run. Basically just verifying no major leaks with everything up to temp. Currently being stripped for wrapping.

I am curious to know how is the project now ! Is it working fine ?
I installed a MS-2 in my 1979 RoW for fuel-only and it is working very well. I have the same issue for "hot start" when the engine is hot after parking. How you solved it ?
