My wife and I had a great time. I know part of the reason I will always have a 928 is the poeple. Just a great bunch of car nuts.
Thanks Bill for putting this together. We are already looking forward to the next get together.
Oh, and thanks Bill for selling me your supercharger, and helping with the install!!
Nice to have so many out of town 928ers show up. It was nice to meet Rob Edwards and see that beautiful (speedy) GTS. A special thank you to Jim and Sue Corenman for taking time out of their trip to stop at my shop and help me with my new Sharktuner/Sharkplotter, it sure helped with the learning curve.
Makes me want to go to some long distance events.

toy vs. tuition for my kids, pretty easy decision and it's the lowest hanging fruit I have. Hopefully, when things get a little easier financially, or I find a good paying job in the B/A, it will/would be different. It was great to meet you, Nicole.
Anyone know who's hiring in the B/A for marketing communications? It's a tough market, and it's a very "who you know" market right now...
Best,
Rob

To Bill:
And, all others that put on this wonderful event.
Its always fun to see and associate names with avatars.
The Funride was just that FUN!
I was telling me son: "Oh, great we are the back of the line, being the sacrificial 996 for the cops" [No 928 to play with today]
My son and I thank you all for the prizes: Nicoel, Roger (928srus), etc. (hope I don't forget anyone)
Many thanks again!!

did your son get a hold of Steve for those 996 wheels and tires? Just curious. He was very interested in them.
Best,
Rob

A little late to the party but here are some of my pics from the day.
I didn't think Bill could make it the entire day w/o ending up doing some mechanical work on
somebodies' car. Finally during the fun run, caught him adjusting the shocks on his own car.
Thanks Bill for another great event.

I spent virtually the whole time there visiting with folks and had a ball. Food was wonderful, cars amazing a always, but it really it's the people that make these events special.
Bill throws a great party and has great friends. That's a given. Outstanding efforts from Bill and the All-Star cooking team. Folks wrestling with the hot-dog allocation, while a couple pans of ribs went unnoticed. This was a very nice picnic! The ribs were very good. Lots of eye-candy on the street, with a catalog of things that folks have done to make things good, make things better, and keep the cars alive. Thanks to all who made it happen!
Side notes:
Rob and I had a blast on the drive up, taking a slightly off-the-beaten-track route that included LA traffic, the back road to Ojai, a high-speed tour through the mountains and forests back towards the central valley, a couple throat-clearing blasts on I-5, and some other fun stuff going hither and yonder. Ride back after the picnic was more subdued, but still a postcard-class tour down 101 was better than the freight-train ride down I-5 south. Plus Rob's GTS is a little jinxed when it comes to the Grapevine hillclimb section. Something that will need to be included in any 'full-disclosure' package unless he can prove it wrong...
Thanks again to all who made the trip fun and worthwhile!
And.... Hope to see you at Sharktoberfest in the fall! Hope I can make it to that too.
