Default Mark Anderson in Velocity Magazine

There is a great 4 page article about Mark Anderson and his racing Career in the January 2011 issue of Velocity Magazine, put out by The Porsche Owners Club. A very funny thing happened to him in Sttugart, at a Porsche Motorsports party! Mark is one of the most talented drivers in the POC and I always love hearing the 928 V8 rumble at the track. He is not too shabby with his 911 GT3 Cup Car either.

So how does one acquire a copy?

Yes, how do you get a copy of Velocity?

When the 996 Cup Cars were running at the top of their game, I had always wondered how Mark A. would do behind the wheel of one since he was doing so well with his white 928 race car in races.

My question was answered when he won the Yokohama Cup Race series driving a 996 Cup Car.

So now comes the bigger question, if the white 928 racer had been driven by another driver, would it have been as successful?

And yes, that is a very funny story during the banquet. I wonder what the other person thought about it all.

Thanks for the heads up on the article.

You can join the POC and get Velocity 4 times a year go to:
porscheownersclub.org

Many SoCal. shops and dealers have copies in their customer areas. It is the best club racing magazine in the country.

The other person probably didn't have THAT much time to think about it then... but now he does.

Autographed copies would be very nice for the collection.

I was at the Porsche Motorsports Party at Stuttgart and it was around 2am. The party was still going strong and the drinks were flowing. I had been chatting with this guy for a while so I asked him how he got invited to the party. He handed me his business card.
