I finished the CV boot job this morning. To check if I tightened all the bolts properly, I figured I had to go at least 100 mph. Checked out OK.

A guy at the gas station came over and said "I had a friend with one of these. Beautiful car. He had a lot of electrical problems though." This was in 1987 or so, he said.

Went out for a drive on a nice sunny afternoon with my new Sport steering wheel installed - nice and chunky!

Colour match isn't perfect the wheel is more of a matt blue a shade or two lighter than my interior, but that doesn't matter. Big change from the stock wheel.

Picked up my Shark from the only place in town that will still do custom exhaust work. Two resonators, a couple feet of pipe bent, and a single-to-dual tip (that protrudes in a very OEM-looking way), and some welding: $300.

Purrs like a kitten!

Actually got these in last week (thanks Mr. Budd), but just got pix on the computer today.
New carpet self installed, console armrest, mats and of course refreshed seats. It was some kinda grey beige color ( that is designed dirty) hard to keep looking nice (those of you who have it probably know what I mean.
Anyway, black carpet, champagne mats and interior bits and black headliner (put that in a couple of weeks ago during the sunroof deal.
Here's a pic...

Yesterday, Sean and I replaced the factor Behr radiator with an aftermarket CSF. Today, I applied replacement stickers to this new radiator. IIRC, the yellow refrigerant sticker is OEM Porsche. The gold firing order and hazard stickers are reproduction versions from Roger at 928sRUs.

It's getting more rare that I have any time to spend on my own car but after around 11am today finished a customers car, pulled mine in and gave it it's annual oil change, flex plate check, new SC belt, and replaced the steering rack plate that the belly pan attaches to (mine was stripped on one of the 10mm nuts).

Glad to have had the chance to do so, might be ready for 3rd Coast this year.

Drove it +/- 275km today, and loved every minute of it!

PCA Acadia Region had their annual Nova Scotia South Shore cruise today; 2 928's in the crowd (my '85 and an 86.5) of +/- 20 cars. Great lunch at the Grandbanker Restaurant in Lunenburg.

Where is waldo? Two 928's in the crowd today on the Acadia Region PCA South Shore cruise (Lunenburg NS)

Completed sanding of Trim Sills on both sides. Started with 80 then progressed with 120, 180 and 320 Grit. This car has been painted multiple time in various places. Taking the parts to Autobody Pro tomorrow for feedback. Using both electric and air DA sanders. Lots more panels to go.
