I have the stock T-handle from my 82, if it will work you're welcome to it. I just need to get something else.

Here is a pic of the Jager shift ****. I remember bagging it up and putting up somewhere. Along with the MOMO matching steering wheel. Anyway , if it works for you Shawn, let me know. Kevin

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, but my interior is black. I'd be hesitant to dye it, because I think it would eventually start coming off on my hand.

I agree, it could be a problem since its a high use, sweaty hand item.

Hey Shawn,
You can look at this listing. Might be what you need.

Thanks, Bilal. I saw that one and it looks kind of weird. My shifter has a hollow rod with a 1/2" slot at the top, and the lock button protrudes about 1/4" above the top of the shaft. The T-handle button has a fin or vane that slides sideways into the slot, depressing the lock button about 1/4" and allowing the shifter to move. I'm not sure why this shifter has a long button shaft.

In looking around, it looks like the C4 Corvettes have the same setup as the 928.

It replaces the plastic bit that protrudes out of the metal tube

So the entire shifter would have to be dismantled?

[QUOTE=Shawn Stanford;11671851]...I'm not sure why this shifter has a long button shaft.

I remember reading a post a long while back where someone tied in pressing the button to the kickdown switch activation.

So, I found some shifters on eBay that should work, now I just need to make a decision.

This one is small and simple.

This one has a nice pistol grip shape.

Very simple, retro, and cool.

Red, to match the car.

And there's always room for some fun!

The sick speed, IIRC is a push to shift design which is nice. I think you may want to confirm the rod diameter though. I thought the machined parts were nice, but found the ball a little too large and too retro. YMMV. The "pistol grip" one looks a lot like some of the more recent factory shifters. I tried one of the factory ones, but wasn't happy with the way it functioned. I had a plain, all-aluminum version of the top one, worked adequately but again the rod diameter was just a little off and it was pretty tall when assembled . The set screw worked OK and a wrap of friction tape probably would have resolved it.
