Usually if cams are just 'sitting' on a desk, they are either for teasing someone who is interested in them, or they are very expensive paperweights.

Andy - takes "Chuckles" a long time to make up his mind about what he wants - see this thread.
He makes a procrastinator look fast.

They are expensive paperweights until he decides he really wants them - and he does - just needs to think about it for a while 8>)

Usually a six pack of beer and available credit on a credit card solves that problem real fast

Yeah, there are need to's And want to's and somehow those damn need to's get In the way....😜😜

Oil breather system going on before the cams go in.
Cams go in before the rest of the exhaust. (Already have an x-pipe)
Exhaust last...

Hell, it took me 8 years to get the windows tinted...(over T-giving)

This is turning into my "crazy horse monument"..
-taking forever, but hopefully bad arss when "done". 😁😁😁

Intake refresh while cam covers are off for powder-coating... An almost perfect time to swap in some GT cams.

True dr bob,
Did that back in 2013. Powder coating and intake refresh was a big hickie.

That's one of the things that's pushed back cams and exhaust...

But again, cams were exposed, good time to do it if you can..

Unfortunatly for me, we installed the aft muffler in the "LOUD" position. It sounded fantastic and turned every nearby head in the parking lot at work today, but still to loud. On the highway at cruise speed (70MPH) you can always hear the exhaust, again not irratating, just there. So tonight I swapped ends on the aft muffler.

The muffler is ingenious, there are small internal scoops, pointed forward to catch the air is the quiet mode, pointed aft so the air passes over the scoops and it's the LOUD mode. The muffler fits perfectly either way and the exhaust tips just swap ends. Great system with a lot of thought put into it.

In the quiet mode the exhaust is very mellow, a little louder than the RMB but not at all objectionable. Just did a short drive around the block so a report will follow when I get it out on the highway.

Bottom line I'm VERY pleased and this is a great product, very well designed and yes it fit perfectly on the MotorSport SLC "X-pipe"!
I didn't see anyplace in this post showing a dyno, is there any hp gain by adding this system to an existing x pipe cat delete system on an 87 s4?

As there are so many variants of exhaust systems I do not think any dyno runs were done.
When coupled with an X pipe I would expect 15 RWHP and it certainly feels more than that.
I have one on my GTS.

Whenever I get a compliment on my car from another Porsche owner, 9 out of 10 times, it's on the sound of this high flow exhaust system. 5 years and going strong--I love it, Rog. Thanks for hooking me up with one of these!
