I dont know if any of you noticed, but if you look at the pic a little more closely, that looks like a Euro 928s that they hacked up. dual dizzy, side makers raised and one located just front of the door on the fender. What a shame.

that looks downright, dangerous. look how adam is just squished against the windshield, (now rear window). How in the heck did they do it? that will be a great show. very funny, but sad they did that to a perfectly good euro.
couldnt they have found some dinged up 79 to do this to??

A friend of mine Mike Allen from Popular Mechanics was asked to help the guys from Mythbusters to cut the body off of a 928 and put it on backwards. The objective was to see if the car was more aerodynamic from the front or the back.

I have seen several movie cars where they reversed the body. That is how they get the high speed reverse chases like in Fast Furious....stunt driver sitting sideways in tthe rear(now front seat) Another driver in the normal position acting ....

When Bob Glidden ran a Pinto in drag racing Ford reportedly did put the car in a wind tunnel backwards. It was said that it was better backwards.

Why does the dude in the car look like he and the pod/wheel were photoshopped in?

Personally, I really like the show. Yeah, it's a bit hokey at times, but it's one of the few shows, along with Top Gear, that the whole family enjoys watching together. I think its very educational as well, as they quite often explain the physics involved with what they are doing.

Sad to ruin a nice 928, but fun to have one front and center on such a popular show. Yeah, a windtunnel would have worked too, but the show is not just about proving/disproving a myth, it's about entertainment and doing something over the top.

I also thought Adam looked a bit Photoshoped in that photo.
