I found the opposite when in use with Boge shocks. They were mushy until you put a load on them in a corner, then stiffened up nicely. Bilstien/Eibachs are a bit more rough though.

I've been using the Boge/Eibachs combo for a few years and am pleased. Not too harsh for sure, if anything it may error a little soft/bouncy side... very good balance for a grand turismo style ride!
I agree with Sean, once set they hold great... rolling from one side to the other you can feel the give... sometimes wonder if stiffer sway bars would fix this.

I've settled on front Eibachs with "GT/CS" rears. Boge shocks. Best compromise for me so far. Car could use a bit more rear anti-roll stiffness to balance out some more of the push.
