FS: One pair OEM Cup II 17x8 ET70 rims (aka 993 Cup) SOLD
For sale is one pair of OEM Cup II 17x8 ET70 wheels (aka 993 Cup). Part number on each: 993.362.126.01 SOLD
These wheels are quite rare and hard to find. I bought these to put on the front of my GT and would be keeping them for that purpose had I not found a set of even more uber-rare 17x9 ET70's that I will use instead.
The wheels were in good condition when I bought them, and I have personally performed touch-up work on both wheels to correct some curb rash and further improve their overall appearance. To that end, each has had some paintwork - one primarily along the outer band and the other receiving a full front re-spray. I used Wurth Silver Wheel Paint and Wurth GL Clear Lacquer Spray Paint as recommended in the Rennlist Concours Forum. While they aren't perfect, I wouldn't hesitate to use them on my car. IMO, they are suitable for "street" concours, although for "full" concours they should probably be professionally refinished in order to be without flaw.
$650 + shipping. Thanks! SOLD

I think you missed a spot right over... oh, never mind, it was on my glasses
They look fantastic Jarrod! IMHO, these are the best looking OE wheels for 928's, and the 8" front width allows you to run 245 wide tires up front. Makes a big difference in the way our cars handle getting more "beef" up front. These should go fast...

Great Deal!
I have a set of these also and if you don't have the 9" ET70's these are as close to perfect as you can get.
How does the Wurth paint look next to the factory finish?

Thanks guys!
jpNcos - Compared to the factory finish, it's a near perfect match. I think the color is pretty much spot-on. The metal flake in the factory finish appears to be a little finer (smaller). Difficult to detect, and I believe it's safe to say if you weren't specifically looking you would likely never notice. FYI, in the side-by-side photos, the one on the left is the full frontal re-spray, and it's also the last individual photo.

I have a set of these for the front of my GTS, and they are great. One of the neat things about these wheels is that they keep essentially the same centerline for steering as the original 7.5 et 65 wheels on the GTS's, yet give a broader stance and wider tires. The turning "slip angle" is essentially unchanged. GREAT LOOKING wheels Jarrod - good luck.

Hi Chuck - I'm still searching for a pair of 17x9 ET55 Cup II rears, preferably by themselves but I'm prepared to buy a set if I have to and re-sell the fronts. Not in a big hurry, as I'd like find these 8's a good home first, although a good deal would prompt action. BTW, the missing 17x9 ET70 finally arrived (only took 72 days!), so I'm good to go up front - just need to get some tires mounted. Once everything is in place, I'll be sure and post some pics!
