I'm guessing Roll-On-Roll over is a "drive it on the ship" kind of transport ship? In any case, it's going in a container for shipping. The buyer has transported several cars and he uses a company called Rinkens International.

Roll on Roll off is the normal name, and it has happend that they roll over..
I expected nothing else than container transport. Let me know if your buyer needs assistance in the shipping part. I work with people who handle boatloads of cars every year..

Container! GOOD CALL!!! My '92 got plenty of extra scratches on the roll on roll off transport from Germany! SUCK!
Chuck do tell about the 1500 miles early '80's 928... I guess that will bring me to third from fourth then... on the known miles US cars... unless you are hiding more from us Chuck!

Eric,
Kermit is the 2nd lowest known mileage 928 in the USA...that distinction will soon fall to my Blue82 when Kermit makes it back home... Number one is the Ingram '89 GT with 329 miles. Kermit has 1426ish and Blue82 3640... There could be some lower ones out there, but none that are known to any on this list, or confirmed anyway. Always unicorns out there...

Well then the collector in Germany is getting a sweet deal if you think about it.
The 78 was about 28K new. So even if he pays 50K for the car that's a good deal. I think you could buy a nice Caddy for like 4-5K in 78 new.
In one way it's sad how much our cars are worth in the used market and another way it's great because it allows the 928 followers to get some great deals on well built and designed cars. If I was to win the lottory I would total have Kermit in my collection.

One thing that always bugged me about Kermit was the lack of the booklets and history. Why would those pieces miss on such a low mls car.
My manual toad has all the history and cost a fraction. But it has 50k mls on it
