15 means power is switched on by ignition in run position.
30 means battery power.

There are descriptions in the electrical training documents somewhere on the CD's

Am pretty sure that's the meaning of 15 on that diagram.

If you look at the 'Body' wiring diagram, you can see how the 15 power bus gets current from the 30 power bus by following the wiring through the ignition switch.

"Bus" definitions:

15 is switched power
30 is constant power
31 is ground
X is switched power except when the starter is engaged

I only use WSM in PDF and Acrobat 8.0. I like using the 'Comment & Markup' Tool feature in Acrobat to annotate/markup the wiring diagrams for my 90' S4.

This can often help greatly with wire tracing.

You can draw color lines with the line tool....

Add markers with popup remarks to parts of the diagram...

dang!! And here I capture a screen shot then "paste" i into the paint program. I need to more often!
thanks!
Is this an upgraded version of Adobe or something? I have the one that came on my computer.

Side note...i may have found the answer to my hot start problem. A few more drives and starts etc etc and i will know for certian i think.
The "w" plug on the CES appeard to not be seated corectly...it was tipped back at an angle...far enough that i could actaully push it in a bit!
If you look at the diagrams...this is a VERY important conenctor!

It's Acrobat 8.0 Standard. Not the freeware Acrobat Reader.
