on a 90 928, my new rims don't have the sending unit in them, and the warning is driving me crazy

Hey Jim,
I dont know alot about these but I ran across this the other day when I was ordering some parts from 928 Specialist.

RDK (Tire Pressure Warning) Bypass
The RDK Control unit is in under the instrument cluster on the drivers side, directly above the clutch pedal (or where it would be on autos). You do not have to remove any access panels or the dash to get at it. The part number on the unit is 928 618 150 01(or 00). Disconnect the RDK unit from the connector and then place a jumper from pin 13 to 2 on the connector. You
have to slide the cover back to see the pin numbers. I taped up the
connector to hold the jumper in place and keep the connector clean. The RDK
unit is on my workbench!
Make sure the tires have been run at the correct pressure so that the warning light has not been activated. The computer may remember even after the RDK unit is disconnected and light up the red light on the upper right portion of the dash. If you do not have wheels with sensors and therefore cannot correct the tire pressure to clear the faults simply disconnect the battery for 10 mins. or so while you perform the bypass procedure. This will reset the computer and should clear all fault codes.
Good Luck and I hope this helps,
Dave
