Exclamation New LH didn't Cure it. O2 Sensor could be it! *UPDATED*

I cannot believe this! With a new LH that has officially 'learned' the car, it just stalled out on me out of the blue when trying to park it this morning. Idle was low at 400 RPM again and then it started to sputter and stall in drive as if it was running out of gas! I cranked it and it fired right up on the 1st or 2nd crank! Ran real good with no problems after that so I just shut it down afterwards and walked away.

All I can say is what... the... hell...

Puh-leeze.

Is it running OK now?

You gonna post every single fart you encounter from now on, Andrew?

Could there be a cut wire somewhere, or perhaps a loose pin in your connecting harness to the LH? Not making much sense; thus I agree with the head banging. Good luck.

Good points. I dont' feel so SOL now when it comes to hunting down electrical problems since I grabbed my Dad's really nifty and pricey multimeter before leaving San Diego to help track down anymore electrical problems.

The relays are pretty damn old on this car though and I have always questioned them, but never did any jumpering.

Runs great. Better gas mileage and tons of power with a glass smooth idle.

And in repsonse to your second question I would like to let you to know that I just cooked one off just 30 seconds ago!

I hear ya though, its frustrating at times, to say the least...but hang in there with the car.

Time for an idle adaptation with a Spanner or Hammer since you have a healthy LH brain again? I'd send you mine but it's in San Diego.

You put a later chipset in your LH to do this, remember?

Rob, refresh my memory.... can you manipulate the ISC thru the Spanner? Have a feeling mine's stuck in one position and an easy test would be to have the ability to operate it thru a diagnostic tool, if possible.

I was gonna say, I hope that Andy's repaired LH brain got the 88+ EPROMS so it can talk to the Spanner.

Bill - The spanner will run the ISV from stem to stern as part of the actuator drive tests. Sean (Zoltan944) has my Spanner in SD right now, you're more than welcome to go get it from him and give it a try, I think he and Blythe are done with it. (I think I sent both cables with it, I'll double check tonight and can send you the '89-95 cable if I didn't....)

I don't think I have the 88+ chips in this rebuilt. I think they are my own still that were just swapped into the JDS rebuilt unit.

Maybe you have a bad coolant temp sensor or a wiring harness issue or something.

Thanks Rob, I would like to borrow it again & see if the ISC moves. Send me a PM regarding contacting Sean or Blythe.

Sorry for the temporary hijack Andy!
