Default 1982 928s 4.7L 5speed manual need info please

I mentioned this in another post i have but not as a help needed request...

1982(as far as i can tell)
928s 4.7L 5speed manual

My car is at the work shop i just got it recently it needs work all over its not a reck but i want it perfect and so i havnt had a realy good look at it seller said it was a 81 928s but badge/tag under bonnet says 82...bonous i guess, so i dont know everything about the car(all its specs eg. injection) but i i do know its a 4.7L 928s the previous owner had it sitting in the yard along with a bunch of other cars and rodents where squatting in every one of them water and oil tubes all over the motor where chewed on (enough to damage them) and the air intake had wholes and not to mention what they left behind but i gave it a good clean before i started it and the engine sounded ok

So what i was hoping for was specs, information important details that defines this model , things to look out for and things to look for ive noticed that almost every year and model depending on it being an OB, 'S',S4, GT(S) or 4.5L, 4.7L, 5L manual and AT, fuel injection systems ...etc

Help is greatly appreciated so i can try be one step ahead of the mechanics when they tell me what the car needs changed, maybe have a few parts hunted down for reference

  • Timing Belt
  • Water Pump
  • Rollers
  • TB Tensioner
  • Axillary belts
  • Vacuum lines
  • Rubber on the intake (eight for the runners, one between plenum and TB)
  • WUR is probably not working 100% (I'm assuming CIS)
  • Brakes probably need addressing
  • Assuming the clutch is in order probably needs adjusting
  • Throttle cable probably not opening 100%
  • Wouldn't be a bad idea to update the fuel lines
  • Spark plugs / wires. You can usually re-use the plug wire ends, save $$
  • Cap / Rotor
  • Tires
  • Fan clutch is probably slipping
Start there
