Default 928 Suppliers- best service

Hi there what is the longest time that you have had to wait for parts to be delivered? I have an order with a reputible 928 parts supplier, i've been waiting 10weeks, i'm sick of sending emails and i'm still no closer to adjusting my suspension.......

Are you waiting for something to ship, or waiting for something to clear customs?

Everyone I get parts from ships pretty much same day I order.

There have been a few of these threads in the past, and each of them goes away to a place that doesn't exist.

As long as this thread doesn't go the direction of bashing a sponsor, it might survive for a day or two.

So New Zealand is 1/2 around the world.
Isn't there a time in a morning in NZ that's it's late afternoon (within business hour) in the US.
And something like Skype or any of the internet telephony programs would drop international calls to an affordable price.

Emails sent out never really means it is received.
Whether it is read or not is a different problem.

Wait till your employer is taking incoming cheap shots, then we will see where your loyalties lie.........

The rules are to keep it civil....... a rule I have seen you "skirt" in the past, so before you begin hucking rocks, check the insurance on the glass house you live in.

Where is the drama llama when I need him???

Wow Gretch,

I state something as simple as a fact and you go off cocked and ready. If Roger (who is not my employer, thanks) is wrong, I won't defend him. But I also will call it like I see it. Not too far off from what you do, however wrong it might be in some cases.

I wasn't being a smart ***, or attacking you, but thanks for bringing the drama llama in to this thread so quick.

This topic comes up from time to time, and the answer is usually the same: don't rely solely on e-mail to check order status, and don't wait a long time stewing about a delayed order before you pick up the phone and call to find out what's going on.

I'm an e-mail kind of guy myself (I like the audit trail it leaves and the relatively low overhead in both time and cost), so I find it mildly annoying when I can't use it reliably with some of the 928 vendors. Perhaps they have overly aggressive spam filtering or something. Regardless, that's just the way it is and I've learned to pick up the phone when I need something fast or need up-to-date information on order status.

928 vendors are small businesses, and stuff does fall through the cracks; it's happened to me a couple of times over the past two months. Phoning the vendor fixed the problem quickly in both cases.

And... sometimes stuff is going on with these guys that you might not know about that impacts their responsiveness. Stuff that, when you find out about it, helps you be a little more understanding.

The time a part gets thru another part of the world depends mostly on what method of shipping was use. The question is do you agree to send it via the less expensive way or ask for some method in particular. +1 give them a call and try to know what was the method or company they use. Good luck.

Doug,

Our apologies, Jeannie has found your order and the 3 Shock adjuster tools are shipping today via US Postal Express on our dime.

This was not a communication issue on Doug's end, it was a complete "drop of the ball" on our end after waiting for the next shipment of shock adjuster tools to arrive.

Jeannie sends her apologies also!
