With the engine removed, how do you get the clutch unit out of bellhousing?

How did you get the engine out without unbolting the pressure plate first? Crank is bolted to flywheel is bolted to PP is wrapped arond TOB and intermediate shaft. All these would have to come out first, no? Sorry, I can't visualize what you have left in the car....

In the Manual page 30-10 (clutches/controls) it gives the breakdown of the assembly, to me it looks like the snap ring need to come out first.

Gio-

So you rotated the engine and unbolted the PP from the flywheel and then pulled the engine. Huh. Since the intermediate shaft is gone, I presume the coupler that clamps the intermediate shaft and the TT driveshaft must have been loosened and slid back. If that's the case then the only thing holding the PP assembly in place is one or both of the following: 1) the guide tube (2 10mm bolts AFT of the PP, holding the guide tube against the bellhousing flanges), and 2) The clutch release arm is still hanging on the pivot ball in the top of the bellhousing

Those are the two things I'd imagine are holding you up.

Are we dismattling? I am good at that :-)

Rob, you are correct. The arm is holding the assembly. I will remove the clip tomorrow and see if some out.

Thanks
