Default Low mileage 83 on eBay

Yea, it's nice and all... but I'm sure glad I got in on my new 85 when I did... I only paid a 10th of what this guy's asking.... so I can probably flip mine for at least 30K ... since it's newer and all....

Best of luck to offerors...

From Ebay ad:
I believe that this car has had the factory spoiler installed by the previous owner as this was not an option in 1983.
If this is true, then it's not an '83, and not an "S". No '83 came without the spoiler, unless it was purchased as a option delete.

I would verify the VIN# on this one before moving forward... though more than likely the seller has mis-stated.

Anyway you cut it.... HOLY CATS! That price is crazy. Looks like it's time to sell my '84 Euro.

I would send the seller a request for the engine code that will answer any questions about performance

I emailed the seller with a few questions back in April of 2008, but I forget what he was asking for it back then and I don't think I saved any info.

He is very sincere about the car, telling me his father I think was present when the car was "flown in" back in 1982. VIN is WP0ZZZ92ZDS840250 .

Found a post I made on Pelican.
25k on the US speedo, imported apparently when almost new, described as no flaws a concourse winner, but not much on interior or engine pictures and only driven a few hundred miles in the last few years.

Red with a sunroof, so not for me. BIN is $28.5k, $5k now with 0 bids no idea what the reserve is, but guessing from the BIN its high and will not be met.

Low-mileage euro is definitely on the top end of the 16v cars, but that price is over the top, down the hill and rolling into the next county. The only thing I'll say about the wheels is they need to go. From those pics, my car looks nicer. So if he wants a beyond top-dollar price he'll need super-hi-res pics with excellent lighting. Interior, engine, underside, the works. If you didn't know the mileage and just went by the pics you'd think it was a $6-7k car tops.

He must have a BIG GARAGE! He stated that it's only driven 2,000 mi a year and never leaves the heated garage? I'm just say'in!

My 83 should at least be worth $10,000.

Because there aren't old 928's going for that price.

Its been offered for about this price for over a year, so empirically the price is too high. Not to say that somebody someday might not pay this much, but that day hasn't been any of the last 400 or so.

Euro S are my favorite, but this car comes with a few caveats that reduce the value. Nothing is unique or special about it, except "modestly" low mileage.

Red, sunroof, 83 model year (CIS and old non borg syncros), and awkward mileage. 25k miles is too high for most collectors, making it something of a drivers car, but its only 5k miles from the big bad 30k, which will take some fun out of driving it as it gets closer.
