You should be able to get them rebuilt for $25 or so (I did a few years back) They should not swivel!

its a safe bet that if the trans cooler lines are swiveling the oil cooler lines will be as well.
I would suggest that you consider rebuilding all of the flexible lines.
Also inspect the lines that run next to the cats and that go to the trans if any are wet then you should do all of them

Good point Stan............now that its all apart I was going to do the PS lines so when I drop the oil pan to do the gasket I'll pull the oil cooler lines off the engine also.

I know whats going to happen though; we'll go from current -15C and fresh snow to real Spring and the the pressure will be really on to get 'er done

when you remove the oil cooler lines from the engine be careful about counter holding the fittings that go into the block ( that the oil lines are screwed onto) These fittings are green loctited and not meant to turn.
There are more than a few cases where a few of the top threads on the block break off when they are removed.
Bottom line, hold the fitting with the correct wrench 27mm IIRC

I have done this recently. I found, as advised, that I needed to remove the lower adapter from the block in order to get a wrench on the upper pipe nut. Also was warned about pieces of thread coming away (and not to lose the pieces!), but all I saw was tiny bits of hardened loctite in a couple of places. Apart from it being a PITA to get at everything in there, it all went back together ok, and several 100miles later I have no leaks.
