Default Oil Change.............Mobil 1?

Alright, I searched the forum and read all the threads and it seems Mobil 1 is one of the top choices for the 928 crowd.

I did find some at the Super Walmart, I noticed a number of threads mentioning that the Mobil 1 15/40 was getting hard to find.

What they had was Mobil 1 15/50.................now I am just assuming this will be what 928 likes, but we all know what happens when I assume

Anyway, I do not want to beat the dead horse, but I am just asking if the Mobil 1 15/50 would be good food for my 928.

I don't know about any official "preferred", but that's what I use.

Amsoil

Crack is good today!

Actually I've been happy with both, but I feel like being difficult today.

I've run Mobil 1 15-50 in all my 928's for years. I tried other oils but have returned to M1.

hey you noobs

the question was asking wether or not the OP had the correct weight M1 oil for their car. I don't think it asked for a roll call of everyone's personal oil choices.

Is there a smiley that conveys "NOT ANOTHER OIL THREAD!" Andrew, do you have a smiley like that? If so post it for me please

Thanks Ryan and yes the question was is 15/50 a proper weight.

I have seen a lot of 15/40 and 20/50............so the 15/50 just threw me a bit.

Nooooooooooooooo do not let the games begin!

I would not put anything lower than a xx-50W oil in my 928, unless I lived in a very cold climate. YMMV. Another +1 on the Mobil 1 15W-50.
