Your 928 Restoration Efforts....Post Your Before/After Pics
So I still consider myself relatively new to the 928 community but I can't help but notice that there has been a very steady increase in effort to restore and significantly improve the conditions of these cars.
Many are buying cars which need some work and putting serious effort and $$ to restore them not only mechanically but also cosmetically. I don't remember seeing this much interest when I started following this forum a few years ago.
So in the interest of showing off your efforts, lets see some before after pictures focusing on things you've done to your sharks to get them to where they are today.

I am still in the process of installing new carpet in my '88. I went from the cashmere (Camel) to black carpet. I think it looks so much better with the guards red of the body. I got the carpet from Robert Budd. http://www.the928leathershop.com
I'm not finished yet, but getting there. Let me know what you think.

Well done on the carpets. Frankly I need to do that to my '81 but with the beige carpet set (I do like that color).
Here are shots of my '81 from when I got it. Note the front bumper cover and the front seats... I still need to redo the back seats and either recover the rear center console or find some way to REALLY clean it well!

Sorry, no before pics, but here's a progress report on my engine rebuild after discovering Thrust Bearing Failure on a '90S4 I had purchased (see the avatar). The motor is in the car now along w/ an updated aluminum radiator from 928Intl., but no pics are available as of yet..sorry. I'll get them as soon as Greg Brown shoots them to me. Constantine's clamp will be installed on a newly rebuilt torque tube. The car isn't ready just yet.
The valve covers and intake man. were powder coated. The finish is a metallic grey. I specified silver and he screwed up, but I didn't want the coater to strip and redo. They actually look better in person than these pics convey.
Pics 1 & 2: A good, used block cleaned and ready for assembly
Pic 3: Block w/ pistons installed (pistons were slightly machined down w/in narrower specs than factory)
Pic 4 & 5: Block w/ heads
Pic 6 & 7: Motor almost there
Pic 8 & 9: Ready to install

Wow, some dramatic improvements.
What do you guys use to tack down the carpeting on the interior?
