Your 928 Restoration Efforts....Post Your Before/After Pics

Drifting
This is my 84. I can't find any pics of when I bought it. Anyway, it was wrecked, but not bad. The front end was pushed over 2 inches and the core support was back an inch.
A couple thousand dollars of frame work, paint, and panels and now she looks like this.
MSDS headers and a 3" SS exhaust I built.
I also put in a Pioneer head unit, MB Quart speakers, Corbeau seats and S4 brakes from the booster on. There is a big box of carpets from Rob Budd that needs installed as well.

My 79' restoration....
Don't have any pics of my 1979 before I started restoration... but the pic before I had it painted is somewhat representative of the condition... tired paint- a matte silver actually, seats were very worn, etc. With repaint (maaco I might add as nobody would do it here in Charleston) and new wheels with h5 conversion. I am a happy man. Thanks everyone: 928 specialists, etc. who helped bring the car about.. Now I only need to get new shocks, motor mounts, etc. :-)
Before
After.
Exactly what I wanted. Again, Thanks everyone for any help getting here.

Actually have done that at about the same time. Didn't do a strip all refurb. Remarkably interior didn't need that much. QP were left alone and rear just got a new mat. Dash got a cap. Was originally leather and will replace it with leather one day... that'll be phase 2 or so. Right now I put a plastic cap on it. Vacumed the mats and replaced the seats with racing seats as shown below. Cheap EBAY racing seats I might add. Probably won't last too long but until I refurb the older seats or get a replacement set of black leather... they'll do OK. Rear seats were taken down and I partially wrapped the foam and the wood in a 996 esq. fashion. Am too cheap right now to replace with new pair now... Added a tweeter and next a round 6" speaker to the rear seat QP area. All in a tasteful later car style.
As we all know.. it's a gradual transformation to the perfect ride.
The actual seats are more black than the pic depicts. Canon color depth is too precise. :-) Thanks for all the positive comments.

Some great inspiration here!
My S4 is mechanically sound, but the interior needs some work. Nothing terrible - typical dash cracks, faded carpet, a bit of bolster wear, PO installed a cheesy Panasonic stereo, etc.
I'm going to rip everything out during a week vacation around Thanksgiving, and put it all back together during a week around Christmas. The weeks in between will be treating the seats with Leatherique, cleaning/touching up the door panels and such once out of the car, etc.
Until then I am picking up new pieces as I spot them...pod, steering wheel (my least fave part of a stock 928), center console, stereo, speakers, carpet set, Carl's auto shifter/boot. Already got a new leather dash.
Think that's overly ambitious for that timeframe? I have to do it quickly once I start. I don't have a long attention span, and if the car sits for months I will lose interest and it will never get done.

I wouldn't say it's too ambitious, just make sure there aren't other things too disctract you during that time period. Set the time aside and do it, otherwise it could become a winter project and we all know that Florida doesn't have winters!
