Hopefully they will stick around the 928 scene and still build some cool stuff now and then.
But running a business is hard work, and takes a lot of time, money, and manpower.
Yeah; I was surely one of their last customers with a complicated purchase arrangement (Devek did PPI, stored my car, did some service, picked me up at the airport, checked out the car with me before the looong drive home). No problems in all this. The story I heard from Susan was a loss of senior manpower affected their volume of business. Shame to see it happen...

Holy moly - how did you find that?

This was just a skeletton site - it has never been finished, or released to the public.

How about you try an buy the twin - disc clutch at a better price from anyone else? Let's see what happens... Anyone who stocks 928 parts at a decent price gets my business - even Porsche Great Britain every now and then...

Frankly, any time I was involved with DEVEK - either a parts order or a site-related issue, it was always a train wreck.

Never an apology or any form of 'making things right' - just excuses and aggressive defensiveness.

I rarely said anything here as they were one of the original site Sponsors so I cut them some slack for that - even when Marc would PM me with some wild accusations of 'playing favorites' amoung the Sponsors.

He never figured out that I was actually playing favorites to him by not publicly voicing my displeasure with how they ran their business and treated me as a customer.

Some folks just don't 'get it'.

Very Aggressive Defensive.
And the lack of decent communication that baffles me about their business.

I have a single 4 guage with a 56" barrel and a double 8 guage with a 40" barrel - will that work.
The 4 guage has 8 oz of shot and packs a real punch to the shoulder.
Classic English "big bore" shotguns.

The 4 guage was that one of the ones designed to be fired laying on your back in a boat to take down very high flying flocks ?

Didn't the RAF use the 4 gauge in the WWII to take down V1's on the coastal defense.

No points for anyone who thinks V1 is some electronic box one schticks to the windshield.

Roger,

As you can imagine that means that I will be buying it off you, but for example Pelican got my business on the brand new 968 intake valves as their price was unbeatable! Simple as that As you can imagine, with us Europeans, you never know where a bargain will come from... Will pm you later on with regards to ordering some parts...

Given that, isn't it some kind of special hell for you, living in Texas?

Regarding Devek, I remember being pretty impressed with some of their performance offerings and got excited along with everyone else with the whole White Car thing, but ... never did any business with them, largely because of what I saw when Marc got involved in some of the threads here on Rennlist. While lots of the threads were technically interesting, they were a classic example of what not to do when trying to attract customers and build a loyal customer base.
