Default racing harness too short - what now?

I bought the harness mounts, which mount to the rear shock towers from 928 Motorsports.
It now seems that the harness's I have are too short, they barely reach and leave the adjustment clamps right under my ears.
I guess most racing harness's are designed to mount to a harness bar right behind the seat and are therefore too short for the shock tower mounting bracket.

Are there differnet length harness systems?
Can I extend them?

I will eventually get a full cage, but for this season's DE I would like to make this work.
Any ideas?

Your really SOL.
Most harnesses are pretty long. Was the set you have used and maybe cut?
