Okay..........I'll bite. What is the LSA (lope separation angle) on the 78 16V cams? I know that I should be able to figure it out from the valve opening and closing data in the WSM, but I'm kinda challenged in that department.
Thanks,
David

Ken, how far down do they have to be ported to accomplish anything? IOW do they neck down at the gasket surface, are you talking about something more like extrude honing, or...? Did you just have them match the gasket?

Can pre S4/post S4 car hoods be interchanged?
Seriously, the hi beams on my S4 are basically glorified parking lights that aluminate the surrounding ditches to my left and right? where's the 'bright?' Standard night driving is great, but those lower lights don't do squat.

Still looking for an answer on this. I gues I'd also like to know how difficult it is to swapp out.

Why does having a part start with the numbers 928 make it cost 4 times as much as the same part that starts with a 944?

Calculation of multiplication factor 928-944=4!

Andrew, are you being serious about the brake bias valve? Maybe I am losing my sense of humour...

It sits under the Brake M/C (position changed after '83); it is not hard to take out but you have to disconnect all the brake pipes & it can be #@*"# to get the bolts exactly lined up so you can get the threads started again for each pipe.
47-17 & 47-18 in the WSM

Not exactly. There are two different part numbers for them. '78-88 and '89-95 IIRR. Must have something to do with engine bay light or something similar very small change.

Going from slushbox to 5-speed would be both.

I know Constantine and others have done it. I just don't remember seeing a detailed write up of the process, parts needed, and permanent changes to the car.

These are the best I could find:

Wrong direction but right idea:
