It came off just fine with a three-point gear puller, but it was in there real tight. I was surprised to see the woodruff key not being crescent shaped, live and learn. The first set of camshafts is now liberated. Thanks for the pointers.

Here's a question to people living near boston. Is there a shop in or near boston where you can buy quality tools? I've got some "OEM" bits etc. and the usual Autozone tools, but they are not up to the task. I am looking for things such as a valve spring compressor that works well on the 928 head, XZN bits that don't strip themselves or the bolt, etc.

Here's another stupid novice question. What are the exhaust and intake valve angles in S4 head? Not the valve seat cut angles, but the valve angles. Thank you in advance.

Hello can anyone post a link for a how to on battery drains,i know i have other mechanical issues to deal with,but mabe this one i can try to fix i have a dmm,also the battery is new, and i cleaned the posts on the negative were it ties down.Also the connections in the front.
