Hello from South Africa...
Hello there Shark-Heads. My name is Pierre Martins and I've been monitoring this board for a while. I must say I like the vibe here, so I decided to take a liberty and join the fun.
The Porsche scene here in SA is very much alive and well with time trials, gymcanas and Porsche Challenge racing, but not so much on 928's.
However, as a wannabe individualist I opted for a Puter 83 Euro (manual) two years ago and immediately started restoration & mods galore. You guys know..., things like Billsteins with increased preload for track use, Eibachs, adjutable drop-links, big red 996 brakes all-round, exhaust conversion, 17" cup 2's with Bridgestones, GTS shifter, racing seats, S4 tailpiece & wing and a motor that's spannered up to 367 ponies...
Sorry if that sounded like bragging, but I can't help myself! I'm proud to say I've probably got the wildest 928 in SA today, but I'm not finished yet. In fact, I don't think I'll ever be finished. I'll post some pics soon, if you guys are interested in seeing what it looks like... Oops, there I go again!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting here in future. That is if I'm welcome of course...
