Thanks guys. I looked at the both the PET and Pelican's catalog but they didn't seem right so I decided to ask the pros.
Thanks for the quick response!!
PS. I've repaired the missing tabs and crack in the door panes and now their going on. I'm so stoked.

about the door armrests and cracks. I have one that rattles because of the crack. I know some companies sell braces for them from anywhere from $20-$50, but I would think any plastic type epoxy adhesive would do the trick.
What kind of store did you find this "plast-aid" in? A hobby store, or auto parts store or where?

I bought it months ago from their website to repair the hack job the PO did on the ash tray on the center console. They installed the head unit for a remote Radar Detector. The detector didn't work anymore and I wanted to have a place to plug the Ipod or cell phone in. This stuff works awsome. Follow the link and check out the videos.
For the door panel I added a little extra ridgidity by putting some fiberglass on the backside but I think the Plast-aid would have done fine all by itself. Its like wearing suspenders with a belt.
The Plast-aid, which goes a long way costs $20 bucks. (Still have plenty left)
The fiberglass kit from Advance Auto, $12 (Still have plenty left)
I used maybe $10 of material and a couple of hours here and there. I'm slow.

well considering what you spent, the $20-$50 jaeger part sounds like a deal.
I would do the epoxy idea if i only wanted to spend $5 for epoxy, I wouldnt go through all that work and all the expense when the metal bracket that jaeger supplies is available for the same cost.
As for the screw, that looks like any typical self tapping screw, I would just try home depot. Or pull one of the others and go there and look for a match. They are all covered by grommets, at least they are supposed to so look is unimportant. But this is coming from a guy that buys all factory hardware as well. So if you can find the PN then do it, but sometimes those things are a PITA to find.
Good luck

I have taken my door panels off and have never seen self tapping bolts like that - I don't think they are original Porsche screws - where were they located?
The main attach points should be machine threaded...? and only the minor trim screws self tapping (small screw headed)...? was it different earlier?

Mine are threaded too. Those look like the ones that hold the plastic panels in the wheel wells.

They are the bolts that hold the arm rest in place and secure the door panel as well.
I have them used if you have no luck at Lowes or HDepot.

Alan the 5 screws that hold on each door arm rest are very similar to sheet metal screws, just a bit longer , i have had good luck using a slightly larger diameter washer under these screws to resecure door arm rests

I'm sure they work just fine, mine are flat on the ends, and they are all alike. Maybe different through the years?

There are at least two types of those screws pre-GTS. The obviously self-tapping variety used on the arm rest and one and only one non-self-tapping screw for the hole that's in the vent.
If you order the new part via the PET number you will get the non-self-tapping screw. It works just fine in place of the self-tapping version. I haven't taken the door on our GTS apart (yet), but I'd assume that the GTS uses the non-self-tapping and that supersedes the tapping version.
