To those that have already expressed interest, and anyone else that may be close enough, the Upstate S.C. Cars n Coffee at the Michelin Headquarters in Greenville, is Saturday August 27th from 8-11 am. Although my '89 S4 is a long way from being road ready, I will still be there as a spectator in the Suburban. Would love to get some of the 928/RL community there to do our own meet/greet. Seth, Dr. Scott, and a few others have expressed interest. I was thinking of trying to do a cookout afterwards at my place, but unfortunately I have a prior commitment that afternoon, that I just can't get out of. Hope to see some of you there.

Hey Chris, I will be out of town this weekend but I am interested in a get-together another time.

We are having sommerfest an area PCA eventn that weekend, and we will be having a mini porsche gathering at cars and coffee of the upstate that weekend. we have 26 cars right now. We are having a social gathering on Fri and Sat night. after cars and Coffee we are going to drive up to the Pisgah inn, you all are welcome to join us on that drive. there is also an autocross on Sunday if you want to give that a whirl.

I will prob be bringing the 911 and not the 928, but kind of torn.

I was one of the original members to go to th event. we had about 17 cars. now it routinely draws close to 800 cars. the 5 yr anniversary drew just over 1000 it is a great monthly event.

Thanks for the invite DrWho. Unfortunately I have other commitments after the CnC, but hopefully some of the others are interested. Since you are more familiar with this CnC, than I, how do we get the 928'ers together as a group, and with the Porsche crowd? Just get there super early? I know the event "officially" starts at 8:00, but how early do people actually start showing up to find a spot to park?

I owned a 1979 5 speed in Helleblau with black leather interior,
I did an excellent repaint,
the car had close to 180K miles when I sold it in 1994, It was in Columbia SC.

I wonder where that car is today

Doesn't sound familiar. I wonder if it's still in state? I'd figure that it would've showed up at a SITM at least once since then.
