To clairfy im trying to remove the "dipstick tube"
Problem: Cannot get a good enough tool on there to turn the dipstick tube nut at the base. It wants to strip off. There is a hump at the base of the oil pan that is preventing me from getting good contact with the bolt and my wrench.

Boy, I had the exact same problem on an 84.. I ended up buying a new extra long box end wrench, then I had to grind down the box to fit down onto the big nut. AND I STILL BUSTED MY FREAKING KNUCKLES WHEN IT BROKE LOOSE. I tried to get it off FOR DAYS.. before i resorted to this. The more i tried the more is got rounded off.
