New home found for Fishy928S4's '88!!
Well after more than a year looking and working on 944's I think that I have finally graduated to 928 ownership.
Fishy928S4 had posted his '88 for sale here and we were able to come to an agreement on it. It might be a week or so but things are moving along. I have sold my '87 Nile Green 944 and taken a deposit on it, it should be picked up within a week. After that it is time to get to work on the S4. I am obviously pretty excited to go and get it and begin the bonding process.
Jason, thanks for the opportunity! It is going to a good home and will recieve lots of attention!
Almost time to change my signature.

Michael - congratulations on your graduation to big P-car ownership I have to compliment you on your taste - I am partial to red S4's myself as you can see Don't hesitate to call on me if you need a hand with anything or just want to swap stories over a few cold ones...I'm right up the road!
Here is my red baby - looks like she has a local twin now...

Thanks everyone,
It needs some TLC. I know that Jason wanted it to be taken care of and I was in a position to spend $ on the 944 to get it ship-shape or IMO move to a better investment for my time and effort. I know that you rarely get what you put in back out but what better reason than this to give it the ol' college try?
Oh, and the better half said no more for a LONG time so it is going to get ALL of my attention for years and years and years to come Next car is hers.

Michael-
Congrats. It's a different beast than the 944, but I think you'll learn to love it's refinements. If you have not already planned on it, you should plan on attending sharks in the mountains (SITM) the 1st weekend in June - it's a blast!
BTW, nice color!

Thanks for the welcome Stig,
I have to say that it will be interesting to say the least. The better half isn't so good on a 5spd. She loves the fact that it is an auto and already told me that she is driving it home..
NNNOOOO!!
I woulda really loved to have a manual tranny as she just doesn't agree with Nissan's, Honda's, Porsche's and Toyotas on when to shift. However Jason's S4 was too much to car for me to pass on. I can't thank him enough in words. Outside of maybe him telling me it won't make it the 20 miles cause of some complicated, broken, necessary part, I might be able to thank him more Then maybe then I can drive it home
I actually have an image in my head of her just getting on it on VA 29 with me and John in the Corolla and her just stomping on it. Better take my camera I guess.
I can't wait to get it all cleaned up and ready to play.

Michael -
Welcome to the shark-side!
You gonna love that thing! TOTALLY different animal from your 944.
You are lucky in that you are in an area with a lot of knowledgeable shark owners. ALSO - Not a far drive to SITM (you WILL be required to attend this year!)
