I can't wait to get mine. Going to pull the engine after first of the year to being wiring refresh in anticipation of installing my Hans Twin screw.

BTDT..i did it after the MAF, obviously, and before the SC inlet. I had it on mine for a while and the temps did drop as measured with the thermo couples i had installed. One at the filter...one at SC inlet..SC outlet...Intercooler outlet. The temp drop wasn't really as much as i thought it would be across the system. Got tired of adding fluid. I used Snowperformance.

issue is, we dont have the room after the SC outlet or the intercooler to place injector(S). Not enough "air space" to allow the fluid to mist and evaporate before wetting against the surfaces near by. its the evaporation that chills the air. In the mist directly down stream of the nozzle, in my intake tube and plenum just before the SC intake, i saw temp drops of over 50'F if i recall. Issue was the same drop wasnt realized through the rest of the system to the Intercooler outlet.

Anywhooo..

Funny story. I had it set to trigger at a certain MAF voltage. Worked well until i shut the car off after the first test run. A few seconds after the ignition was turned OFF, I saw the LED I installed to tell me that the system was running, illuminate.. It was then that i knew my mistake...too late. The MAF did a burn off cycle and the water injection was triggered...on a non running engine..not quite far enough away from the MAF.

$pla$h one MAF!

Jeff, why pull the engine for the wiring refresh? (other than "that's what real men do" reason ....)

Picture time! Finished manifold parts came back. Machine shop even cut me an extra set if anyone is interested. Here are some pictures of the assembly.

If I scroll up and down through the pics fast enough, I have a small seizure. So much shiny! Beautiful work, Hans!

I think you need one Rob. I can squeeze a 2.8L on that same manifold.... would be a nice complement to your stroker.

Nice. How much is your combined surface area in those filters?

The filter manufacture said they would conservatively rate each filter for 700CFM of filtration. I am running a pair of these filters which is considerably more flow than required for the target power level.

700CFM at what pressure loss?

I have no doubt it's enough filter for a twin-screw 928. Just curious.

I think they are just using internal rule of thumb given the amount of media. I am not going to pay to have a full bench test run on the filter.

I may after I get the housings back, as I will likely market them as a standalone product, but it makes more sense to test the complete assembly.

Good news is there is more than enough filtration for my needs, so I don't need to do that testing any time soon.
