You're still in Horicon? I'll assume then that your not driving.

From what I have heard of your system I don't blame you.

The SMT should solve that if it doesn't there is always aftermarket EFI. Tip in is just because the LH is out of its league with this many changes.

That's right James, be brave over the 'net. I love it when people take cheap shots....

The first 30 FAST systems were sold in partial kits: where many reported NOT following the instructions or using parts we suggested. Installed as instructed, the kits worked great at 5psi: exactly how they were designed...and the belt was designed to slip (lack of wrapping) with higher boost so that could-be tuners wouldn't damage their motors tinkering around w/o care. Many liked this, many did not & changed the tensioner/wrapping.

The thing to do is not rely on people buying what you suggest, & in return, provide those items in whole.

Likewise, the thread topic... Murf vs TS.

Your remark, I wouldn't own a sc regardless of power is a cheap shot in the context of this thread.

And my remark wasn't a cheap shot, it was what I have heard.

Jim, no disrespect, but shouldn’t make comments like this unless you have experience with building an SC kit? FAST was one of if not the first aftermarket company to offer an SC kit for the 928. They were the pioneers for this market. Back then, there was very little known about how 928s handle boost.

Dude, I have heard a lot of things in my lifetime. I do NOT repeat every thing that I hear.

Your comment was unnecessary, but since you are a SCer, I cannot hold agressive shark tooth baring behavior against you. You put your money where your mouth is and there is something to say for that, I guess.

It is funny how predictable the posts on these threads are. We knew someone would bring up turbo. And we knew people would start smart mouthing. It would be nice if we could be surprised for a change. On the other hand, my kid is doing his annual cub scout popcorn fund raiser and I would hate for global popcorn demand to dip due to rampant Rennlist courtesy.

Your right: I removed a sentence or two talking about how I'd like to drive a TS someday. That would make my thead out of place. Though, I have driven many compared to the turbosystem, so I'm not speaking w/o experience.

Needless, it's not my thread: I just wanted to give the originator the chance for a ride. I'll go back to work now.

I was at least trying to stay on topic. This wasn't started as a Turbo thread or a knock the SC thread. As usual that's how it will end. Later Dudes.

Jon B, pm me anytime for my 'opinions'.

It would be very intersting to see a chart of the following

rwhp
rpm for peak rwhp
rwtq
repm for peak rwtq
octane for run
boost level for run
ambiant air temperature

My guess is that we would have hit 500 rwhp if we used race gas in Jim GT with 9 lbs of boost. With race gas, there would have been no issues with tip in response.

Mark R, .... Epstein and "Al" from new york were the first three people ever to utilize a Vortech on a 928 starting back in 95-97 that I am familar with. I worked on a local whipple back in 93-4, still running today at 480 rwhp.

As for the TT .. well, don't want to open that can o worms up do we

Regards

I am suprised at the constantly rising HP line on the TS. That is the autorotor 2.2? Would there be more air with the 2.5?
