Default Engine Wiring Harnesses are Shipping

The project to manufacture the engine wiring harnesses that are no longer available from Porsche is complete, and we have begun shipping to those that have ordered them.

Pictures below.

These are for the 78-80 K-Jetronic 928, but the good news is that it has led us to stock all the metric electrical connectors that we need to make almost any other. As time marchers on, Porsche is sure to slowly discontinue others like they have the CIS engine harnesses.

At the moment, we are still holding the price on the replacement engine wiring harness at $450. We are using all-copper conductors, hi-temp automotive grade insulation, all-copper metric connectors imported from Germany, and silicone-impregnated fiberglass sleeving,

I want to be sure to thank 928 International for keeping me supplied with old wire harnesses - we carefully disassembled a few from them and others to mark wire colors and map the schematics. We needed to see a 79 K-jet engine harness, an 81 L-Jet, etc, etc, and they were always there for us. Thanks, Mark!

Nice work! It makes me wish I had an older shark in need of a wiring harness

Green Goblin - we are now set up where you could send us your engine wiring harness and we could replicate it for you with about a 2 week turn-around.

Mark Anderson is like that. I once needed an LH for just a weekend and Mark, at his OWN cost, shipped it to me to borrow. I returned it within a week. They've also sent me other parts like that. Mark sent me a sunroof surround when we were discussing how many of them are leather and how many vinyl. Also at his expense.

Carl, that is a beautiful harness. Importantly, do I understand correctly you guys have sourced ALL the connectors, end-to-end? And will you make S4 harnesses also, perhaps as someone (Brian?) mentioned, a custom supercharger harness?

ROCKON Carl, looking nice.

Is the cost about the same? I ( thank God ) do not need one but as we all know age always increased and it will be inevitable. Do you see yourselves being able to produce these for an extended period of time or is it for a limited time type of thing.

The future availability of some of the older-style Bosch connectors is questionable. I can get them now, but I also know that will not last for ever.

At this time, I can still get your '83 engine wiring harness done for the same price.

Maybe I already have the pattern to work from. Give me the year, L-Jet or K-Jet, maual or automatic trans and I will check.

Whoa! Is that an original factory wiring harness template board? So very rare and so high tech...

Great project Carl
