Here are some pictures of the guts, not too much there.

If anyone would like to see how it is done, I prepared a nine page doc with diagnostic information (do you need a rebuild), list of parts (less than $10), pictures and instructions.

I cannot guarantee that it will fix everyone's problems, but it can't hurt to clean out the system and replace 25 year old rubber O-rings. If it does work, it will save you about $500 vs. buying a rebuilt fuel distributor.

Drop a note to info@electronikrepair.com and I'll send you the PDF with all the information. I have a low resolution version that is about 254 kbyte or high resolution version that is 1.8 MByte. Let me know if your email is "industrial strength" and you wish to take the big file.
Hi, email you.

Could I have a copy of pdf please.

Hi guys!
I am rebuilding CIS and have one question regarding fuel distributor barrel:
https://pasteboard.co/J1bOX2i.jpg
is this some kind of filter in the middle? I can feel and squeeze something soft inside and it is in random shape but more like o-ring or maybe parts of o-ring. Saw videos where these barrels do not have anything apart fuels holes here. Maybe I should remove this filter totally? Maybe it is clogged?
Any ideas, thanks!

Hello Rich,
I have worked on quite a few 928's in Ireland and have just rebuilt the Fuel Distributor on a 1979 euro spec one, but something is not right.
The Engine starts then immediatly stalls. All other probable causes, vacuum leaks etc have been ruled out. So it appears its just running on cold start injectir. I have measured control and system pressure. The WUR needs replacing, but this didn't stop engune running before FD rebuild.

I have taken FD back off and I am now concerned that the Plunger Stop is bent and therefore holding Plunger too high and causing control pressure issues. On most Mercedes FD's there's a return spring for this plunger. Is my setup missing that?

The other probable cause is the Metering Barrel orientation maybe slightly off. Is there a specific position for the groove on the base of the barrel to be aligned to.
I am 90% sure that the WUR holes in top and bottom base plate and gasket are lined up ccorrectly.
I Look forward to hearing from you.

Geoff.

Hi friends,

I am currently rebuilding my 1979 911sc Targa's CIS system. The previous owner had an engine fire and burned most of the fuel lines.

I have the "connectors" but need to length to rebuild some of the lines at a local store. I wonder if there is anyone here nice enough to pop their engine bay open and do a few measurements for me.

I am positing one of the lines below to see if anyone still follow this thread, please let me know if you can help. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I think maybe asking on the 911 forum might be better in this case?

HI I ordered a salvox styl rebuild kit from a guy in Germany for on hundred bucks. It had every "o" ring needed plus all hardware and a PDF on how to do it to my email. Turns out the metering. pin was just stuck in the bore due to dry fuel residue. Rebuild was easy I used locktite 574 to reseal the case halves.but not really needed.
