Apparently pre-S4's are a lot easier. No mention has been made of:
different flywheel;
longer/shorter torque tube;
gearbox mounting;
blue hose from the master vacuum system;
other gotchas?

I have a rear cross member from a 78, and there appears to be mounts for both types of gearboxes...
I'd say do it! I'm interested as well being that I have all the parts.
